PuckLuck Primer 12/16/22

Another day, another big winning night the night prior. If you bet according to our PuckLuck Picks, you returned over 50% on your investment. That's becoming a theme on big slates, which is very encouraging. Our refined model is having its best year to date, implying that the minor tweaks I made in the offseason to improve the accuracy is paying off in a big way.

It would've been a perfect night had the league's worst team not decided to surprise us, which is of course is unlikely to happen on a regular basis. We've shown a great ability to stay ahead of the curve on runs (see: St. Louis) and that may be the greatest quality of PuckLuck Picks so far.

We only have three games today, and to be honest there's not much to discuss in terms of edge, as the sportsbook odds are fairly in line with ours currently. It's important, if you're following our suggested bet percentages to bet optimally, to not force something on a night like this if it's not there.

Yes, it's not fun having a dead night, but if you're in this to maximize profits then sometimes you have to put the fun on the backburner.

That being said, PuckLuck provides you with many other tools to help you enjoy the night. On the betting side, that includes player props and our bold predictions, the latter of which are fun longshot props that have been hitting at a nice rate.

If you like to dabble in daily fantasy games, we always have the Underdog Play of the Day, which is returning over 11% on investment. I also entered some Underdog Fantasy drafts on the big slate yesterday and profited nicely using the PuckLuck rankings. Use this link to sign up for Underdog Fantasy if you haven't already and they'll match your first deposit up to $100. Can't really beat free money.

Finally, we debuted two DFS tools recently that are very unique to help give you an advantage in stacking your lineups. The line matchups page displays which projected lines are expected to faceoff against each other for the majority of even-strength play. This shows the offensive and defensive prowess of each line, and how it may affect their daily fantasy output.

Our newest tool, the correlation page, shows which duos are the strongest correlated players on the slate. This is sorted by "stack rank" which is based off fantasy point share from goals and assists at all strength states (even-strength, powerplay, and penalty kill). If you're looking to hone in on a certain team, you can filter by team to view their top 10 correlated player stacks. This will help you turn a duo into a trio, or even more, to help you win your GPP (guaranteed prize pool) tournaments.

Okay, time for today's edges:
